Why Return Your Omamori?

In Japan, omamori are treated with deep respect — not as disposable accessories, but as sacred objects carrying blessings. When their role is complete, they are returned through a respectful process, not thrown away.

One-Year Tradition

Most omamori are meant to protect you for about one year. Returning them is a way to say "thank you" for their service.

🔄

Renewal & Fresh Start

Returning the old and welcoming the new — this cycle of renewal is a core part of Japanese spiritual culture.

🙏

Respectful Farewell

Otakiage is a traditional ceremony where omamori are purified by fire, returning their spiritual energy with gratitude.
